Each member is licensed and insured, so there’s no need to worry about whether your rental really exists. Should your unit become unavailable due to construction, repairs or sale, member agencies work with you to locate a comparable property — and offer travel and damage-waiver insurance. We offer you peace of mind, and that is priceless.
Good to know
Most third-party online travel platforms add service fees on top of your nightly rate. When you book direct with a SCVRMA member, you never pay a middleman — and you deal with a licensed, on-island professional from your first inquiry through checkout.
Every SCVRMA member home is a licensed, registered, legal vacation rental that meets the cleanliness and safety requirements of the City of Sanibel, Lee County and the State of Florida. Each member firm is also licensed and insured, so your funds and your reservation are protected.
Members set very high standards for the units they offer. Owners who do not reach and maintain those standards of décor, furnishings, equipment, appliances and overall comfort are not accepted into our programs. Every unit is inspected for cleanliness and made ready before your arrival, with linens and towels laundered to hotel standards.
Each member has an on-call, after-hours emergency person or service right here on the island. Whether it’s a broken appliance, a lockout, or a chirping smoke detector that needs a battery, we’ll take care of it — without you waiting on a call-back from an out-of-state owner.
If your unit becomes unavailable due to an unforeseen circumstance — construction, repairs, or a sale — your member agency works with you to locate a comparable property. Travel insurance and damage-waiver insurance are also available for added peace of mind.
